Gas Services

Natural Gas Supply

Natural gas is provided by Cibola Energy Services Corporation and transported to the City over Northern Gas Company lines to the city gate (TBS). The City's Natural Gas System is looped and operates at approximately 20 PSI. The system is cathodically protected. This provides added protection to the wrapped steel lines. The line size and pressure indicates that we could handle a major expansion and in such case would not constitute any inadequacies.

Oil pipelines are made from steel or plastic tubes which are usually buried. The oil is moved through the pipelines by pump stations along the pipeline. Natural gas (and similar gaseous fuels) are lightly pressurised into liquids known as Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs). Natural gas pipelines are constructed of carbon steel. Hydrogen pipeline transport is the transportation of hydrogen through a pipe.
