A West Bend Christmas: Mayor Kim’s ‘West Bend Community Christmas Tree’
Hello again from Mayor Kim Johnson. As usual December has come very quickly, and I am not ready for Christmas. I remember I used to be so prepared when my kids were younger but as I age, I seem to procrastinate a bit longer every year. As I am writing this article, our community is preparing for an ‘Old Fashioned Christmas’. I hope that many of you were able to partake in this festive event.

Hello again from Mayor Kim Johnson. I love how this weather goes between summer warm and fall cool! With the fall fast approaching, we have seen more farmers in the fields and on the roads which reminds me to allow for extra travel time to my various work towns as well as a reminder to slow down when approaching and passing farm equipment.

As some of you may remember or know, I work as a Speech-Language Pathologist for Prairie Lakes AEA. We went back to work on Wednesday of last week for our 2024-2025 contract. For me it was a day filled with mixed emotions as this was my ‘last’- ‘first day back’ to work since I will be retiring at the end of May.
