Lisa Schmidt’s Homestead Country Store is a bulk food store in West Bend, Iowa that specializes in candy, baked goods, spices and ice cream.

Schmidt has owned Homestead Country Store for six years, which was previously located at 224 S Broadway Avenue. The Homestead business was for sale when Schmidt was looking to move back into the area. Since purchasing, not only has Schmidt invested in a new location for the store, but she has also added lunch options to her services.

One of the best things about Schmidt’s store is no matter the child in town, she always seems to know each of their names and ice cream orders.

Her future plans for the store include continuing to have more sales each year!
